There was a game I used to play as a kid with some of my friends called "Sweet or Sour." When we were passengers in a car, we used to wave to random adults in other cars and wait for their response. If they would wave back, they were labeled as "sweet" and if they didn't wave back, they were labeled as "sour." Did anyone else used to play this game? I remember thinking it was fun and always hoped for a wave back. Plus, it passed the time during a long drive somewhere.
Anyways, the reason I mention this is because as I was driving on the freeway today, I saw little kids playing the same game, or at least what I assumed to be the same game. And it made me smile as I saw these two little girls giggling in the back seat waving at the cars that passed them by because I used to be them and now I was on the other side of the equation. I was the adult being tested. And of course I passed the test by getting the "sweet" label.
Aww, memories... :)
